Συνέδριο ΕΛΛΑΚ: Εξελληνισμός GNOME 2.26

Στις 19 Ιουνίου 2009 έγινε παρουσίαση του έργου εξελληνισμού του GNOME στο συνέδριο δημιουργών ΕΛ/ΛΑΚ. Είχαμε την ευκαιρία να μιλήσουμε για το αποτέλεσμα του τελευταίου έργου εξελληνισμού του GNOME όπου ολοκληρώσαμε τη μετάφραση του GNOME 2.26 για το γραφικό περιβάλλον και την τεκμηρίωση στα ελληνικά. Συνέδριο ΕΛΛΑΚ: Workshop εξελληνισμού

Στις 19 Ιουνίου 2009 έγινε το 2ρο workshop του εξελληνισμού ελεύθερου λογισμικού στο συνέδριο δημιουργών ΕΛ/ΛΑΚ. Αντιπροσωπεύσαμε κοινότητες εξελληνισμού όπως OpenOffice.org, XFCE, Mozilla, GNOME και OLPC/Sugerlabs. Ήταν μια  πολύ καλή ευκαιρία να γνωριστούμε μεταξύ μας και είναι η δεύτερη φορά που έγινε μια τέτοια συνάντηση. Καταγράψαμε τις παρακάτω ενέργειες, Κοινοί κανόνες μεταφράσεων. Localisation issues in home directory folders (xdg-user-dirs)

In new distributions such as Ubuntu 7.10 there is now support for folder names of personal data in your local language. What this means is that ~/Desktop can now be called ~/Επιφάνεια εργασίας. Firefox shortcuts in Linux on non-us keyboard layout, and Greek

You tried to use the common keyboard shortcuts in the Linux version of Firefox, with a keyboard layout other than us, and you realised they do not work.
